Your general tasks will include:
- Accounting and Bookkeeping:
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to record transactions and prepare financial reports.
- Financial Reporting:
- Knowledge of creating and interpreting financial reports, such as the income statement and balance sheet.
- VAT and Taxes:
- Understanding of VAT rules and tax regulations.
- Ability to calculate and report VAT and taxes accurately.
- Payroll and Personnel Administration:
- Basic knowledge of payroll management and personnel administration.
- Understanding of labour laws and regulations.
- Business Communication:
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to communicate financial information understandably.
- Financial Systems and Software:
- Experience using financial systems and accounting software.
- Competence in programs like Excel for analysing and presenting financial information.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Ability to participate in and support the budgeting process.
- Knowledge of preparing financial forecasts.
- Corporate Law:
- Basic understanding of corporate law and company regulations.

Your (preferred) background:
- Academic degree, preferably finance or related
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience from Start-up/Scale-up is highly meriting
- A master of Excel and other tools
- The ability to express yourself well, written and verbally, in English and any native African tongue.
