This privacy policy applies to pasby consumer software, the pasby website, and related services operated by Finsel DGI Limited.
pasby takes your trust and privacy seriously. We process only the personal data necessary to operate our website and application. By using pasby, you agree to this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
1. The pasby website
What personal data we process on the website:
- Cookies and similar technologies — including data relating to access, personalised settings, and browsing behaviour.
- Identification data — such as email address when you provide it voluntarily. We do not collect sensitive categories of data through the website. Data is used to improve experience and facilitate communication, kept secure, and not sold to third parties.
Why and how we use website data
- To inform you about features linked to our products and services.
- To respond to questions you submit.
- For direct marketing — only where you have agreed.
- To evaluate, improve, and research our products and services.
Your control — website
- Where applicable, you may access and update data you have provided.
- You may withdraw consent to processing at any time.
- You may unlink yourself from our services; erasure may be limited where retention is required by law or for evidentiary purposes.
How we protect website data
- Data is protected in transit and at rest when you have agreed to processing that requires it.
- Data is stored in secure facilities in Nigeria and selected locations in Africa.
2. The pasby app
pasby is built for seamless proof of identity and privacy. To provide the service, we process at minimum:
- Identification data — information associated with your National Identification Number (NIN) and related verification.
- Security data — information from your device used to protect you and services you access through pasby, including country-level location indicators where applicable.
- Transaction records — evidence of actions you performed or confirmed through pasby, retained for evidentiary purposes for a defined period after last use.
- Enrolment data — information relating to your initial activation of pasby.
Why and how we use app data
We use your data to perform pasby services you request: sharing scoped claims (with consent), login, confirmation, and signatures. This includes archiving where required for evidentiary purposes.
We also use data to notify you of service changes, respond to support requests, measure service use (including after campaigns), and improve pasby.
We do not use app data collected for service delivery for unrelated direct marketing.
Your control — app
- Access and update your data through the pasby eID management portal.
- Block or suspend pasby services at any time.
- Request unlinking from operational systems, subject to legal retention obligations.
How we protect app data
- Encryption for stored and transmitted data shared with service providers when you have consented to the underlying action.
- Storage in secure African data centres selected for institutional-grade operations.
